This summer I had the opportunity to join a group of divers loosely based in Edinburgh who called themselves “the Rebel Alliance” . I had a most enjoyable and adventurous weeks diving around the North of Skye.

While we had some mixed weather we managed some terrific diving on some truly outstanding sites including possible the two top walls in Britain. The organizer had chartered “Peregrine” for a week and taken a holiday cottage at Uig so we were land based, self catering but had the joys of a hardboat and a pub. Three dives a day, though diving before breakfast was a challenge especially when some of the sites required slack water and an early start!
