South Scotland Regional Training, Loch Fyne Tea-rooms 12th February.

The February training session of the South of Scotland Region took place in a flat calm sea. Top side a mild day, borrowed from spring had sunshine and snow drops promising warmth. In the water the surface temperate was down to 6 degrees but this rose to 8 degress after a couple of meters.

First dive of the day was helping out on Sports Diver SD01, towing and rescue. As the casualty I got rather chilly but the trainee was kept warm towing me around the bay. The rescues from 5m went fine, the technique was good (both instructor and trainee!). Second dive was a pseudo recreational dive keeping an eye on a dive leader and compass exercise.
